Join The Stewards!
Love trails and being outside? Being a trail steward means caring about the trail. With that established, you can choose what role to play in the trail steward team. Some team members will join in the teams that construct trails, others will post on social media, carry out some trash now and then or just report trail conditions when needed. Make it easy! Join the trail steward team for a trail you use and love already and do something for the trail that you find enjoyable anyway!
Trail Stewards
Stewards are trail users focused on a particular trail or trail segment. Stewards are needed to monitor their section at least annually, keep the trail clear and blazed all year long, and request a work day when major upkeep is required. It takes a village so join (or start!) your trail steward team!
Community Greater Than The Trail
The trails needs volunteers throughout the year, from identification and design, construction and maintenance to the start to aid stations along the trail and at the finish. People can volunteer for as little or as much work as they want. Simply using the trail regularly and reporting issues is enough to make you a trail steward too!
No task is too small or insignificant:
Let the community know what you saw
